NZ Prime Minister gives ski touring a go !
Helen Clark visited Treble Cone ski area here in Wanaka yesterday, to officially open their new quad chairlift. Helen is a keen outdoor enthusiast, and decided to sample Treble Cone's unique new backcountry touring program with Aspiring Guides - yes, that us! Nick Cradock was her guide for the brief tour - photos on our website We will commence ski touring day trips at Treble Cone August 1st.

Black Peak
Ski touring and backcountry awareness courses have been booked out well in advance this winter. There are few spaces left for using the hut, please get in touch urgently if you want to have an adventure here with us. Our ice climbing courses are fully booked for the rest of the season - fantastic effort.

New mountaineering intro course
A new five day EXPERIENCE course has been developed for those who want a brief walk in and out mountain experience in the Mount Cook National Park region. This course will leave you with basic mountaineering skills and confidence for more technical trekking and also deciding if mountaineering is for you. Some will simply want to partake in an adventure! Courses commence December 2005
