Join us for an exhilarating touring experience which gives you a unique opportunity to go beyond the ski area boundary into the backcountry with the security of your own qualified guide.
We use wide skis with ski-touring bindings that have an “uphill” tractor mode. We can use the bindings with regular downhill ski boots. How does it work ? After we have finished a run skiing downhill, we attach “skins” to the bottom of our skis, and adjust the bindings so that we can “walk” uphill in our skis. Once we are at the top, we peel off the skins, reset the bindings for “downhill” skiing and off we go.
Snowboarders use snowshoes and ski poles (or split board) for uphill travel.
