Have you ever wanted to ski-traverse a range of peaks and glaciers?
These 5 day tours are based from Centennial and Pioneer huts atop the beautiful Fox and Franz-Joseph glaciers. This traverse covers nine glaciers within the Fox/Franz area including:-
- Fox Glacier: (Albert glacier, Explorer glacier, Cleves glacier, Hemskirk glacier)
- Franz Joseph Glacier: (Agassiz glacier, Melchior glacier)
Fritz Range: (Blumenthal glacier, Baumann glacier, Fritz glacier)
We fly into high mountain huts, thus minimising load carrying and giving access to some of the world's most spectacular glacial terrain and surrounding peaks.
In addition to the satisfaction of each day's adventure (an enormous smile on your dial after skiing/boarding as much terrain as humanly possible within each day), your Guide will share a fundamental understanding of :
