Comment: Grand couloir still has snow entire length. Snow covering rock summit of the cones. Decent gully full.

Entered by: Matt Chessor

Topic: Remarkables 7th Nov 11

Comment: New snow from the car park increasing in depth with altitude....pockets of 30-40cm. Afternoon sloughing observed on Eastern slopes. Protection and climbing more difficult on the Western aspects due to ice/ snow build up, but generally solved by turning to the drier eastern side. Descent from single cone rap rings straightforward.... the gully is packed with new snow ...loose rock not an issue. A grand day out after a week of storm dodging!

Topic: Remarks and Wye Saddle 24 June 2011

Comment: Touch Down on South Face of Single Cone is looking good but the rest of the face is looking pretty dry. Wye Creek is looking very dry with the exisitng snow dusting way above crags and not much feeding them. Altered States is looking very thin but is getting some drainage.
