Aspiring Guides and Wild Walks join forces!
Aspiring Guides, the first established mountain guiding company in Wanaka, has joined forces with another local company, Wild Walks. Aspiring Guides has always sought new opportunities for its guests, and the link-up with Wild Walks provides what is probably the widest range of mountain activities available from one operator.
Wild Walks, headed by Whit Thurlow, is a six-year old wilderness trekking operation with a difference! It has pre-placed camps in the Mount Aspiring National Park, allowing guests to carry only their personal items. This is just one of the numerous benefits that the combined company can add to its guided climbing and skiing activities.
Whit Thurlow has an extensive background in climbing, skiing and trekking all over the world. His professional guiding qualifications and motivation to run a perfect trip every time, suits his new role as chief guide and director at Aspiring Guides.
He said, “I am excited to be part of a guiding company that offers such a diverse, yet exclusive range of activities. There’s something for the whole active family too!”
Aspiring Guides continues its partnership with Jagged Globe, the world leading UK based mountaineering expedition company. Through Jagged Globe, Aspiring Guides offers the chance to climb throughout the world. This partnership allows its guests to look beyond New Zealand to many different corners of our planet, including all of the Seven Continental Summits.
Marty Beare, director of Aspiring Guides, will shortly be guiding a 31 day Ama Dablam expedition in Nepal consisting of Aspiring Guides clients.
Aspiring Guides has an enviable reputation for helping mountaineers achieve their dreams. We now look forward to helping you achieve yours.
