Dave Hiddleston summits Everest (16-May-2002)
Hi there : We're exceptionally pleased to announce that our fearless leader,
David Hiddleston, has just reached the summit of Mount Everest, despite waist
deep snow. Fortunately, the weather was perfect with no wind or cloud. It is
David's FIRST Mt. Everest ascent, to add to his three previously guided
8000m peaks. David was one of the two expedition guides (Bill Crouse - USA, was
the other guide).

Meanwhile, back here in New Zealand, why not try your hand at an ice-climbing
course this winter. We're running four courses from our heated Black Peak hut
in July 2002. No ski experience required, and most gear is supplied.

Towards the end of winter, we introduce 5 days of Spring Glacier Ski Touring. 
This is based around the nevés of the Tasman, Bonar or Fox and Franz Josef
glaciers, the world's most spectacular glacial terrain and surrounding peaks.
