Head up to our private hut on the upper slopes of Black Peak (2283 m) for a three day touring experience. Overnight in our cosy heated hut and wake high in the mountains.
Advance your ski-touring skills or just enjoy the vast expanse of terrain and snow.
Our exclusive and private hut, at 1800m on the mid-reaches of Black Peak
(2283m), is an ideal base for the short courses and adventures we offer. Black Peak is nestled in the heart of the Harris Mountains, Lake Wanaka, with vistas of both Mt Aspiring and Treble Cone Ski Area. Our hut sleeps 4 comfortably, and can manage up to 6. It is stocked with sleeping bags, good lighting, all cooking equipment, and outside toilet.
You will need to carry a light pack only. Spectacular scenery completes this adventure.

Fly-in, tour-out
Black Peak is a 5-7 hour skin/snowshoe from the summit of Treble Cone Ski Area or a 5 minute helicopter flight from the valley floor. The reasonable cost of flying in saves time and energy for the ensuing days of instruction. We move around on snowshoes if conditions dictate
